People have to trust me over Rashford – Ten Hag

Ajax head coach Erik ten Hag has urged people to trust him over Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford in light of recent criticisms.

Ten Hag believes that his experience and understanding of the game make him a more reliable source of knowledge than Rashford, who is primarily a player and not a coach.

“I have devoted my life to understanding football and developing players. I know what it takes to succeed at the highest level,” said ten Hag.

“While Rashford is undoubtedly a talented player, his expertise lies on the field, not in the tactical decisions that coaches have to make.”

Many fans and pundits have questioned ten Hag’s decisions in recent matches, particularly in Ajax’s loss to PSV Eindhoven.

However, the coach remains confident in his abilities and has called for patience and trust from supporters.

“Criticism is part of the job, but ultimately, I am the one who has to make the tough decisions and live with the consequences. People have to trust in my vision and judgments,” he added.
